birds of a feather

Just saying hello so you don't think I have disappeared.
I have been vegging and thinking quite a bit about what direction in which I want to go with my art and my life - reading some old favorite books, doing yoga almost every morning, drinking Darjeeling tea by the potfuls, painting, and finishing my Autumn KAL wrap for the Jane Thornley competition (speaking of, I received a copy of the book in which my Knit a beach wrap was featured!) I have been purging and simplifying my studio and my life - it feels so good to shed things and I have to admit that I have no desire to add new things right now at all. I have been thinking of designating 2011 as THE YEAR OF LIVING ABUNDANTLY - enjoying and using what I have, and being ever thankful for my blessings of family, home, and time. Have you thought about where you want to go and what you want to do next year?
I'll keep you posted on my process.

Hope those of you in the US had a great Thanksgiving - we had a wonderful day of family fun and delicious food!
I have pretty much put up my holiday decorations - I am not doing a traditional tree this year; instead I wired together some branches and created a bare tree on which I attached lots of birds and nests.
I am now working on more houses for my little village.
Tomorrow I will be back with the newest TAAFOMFT challenge - be sure to check it out!

I've missed you! I figured you were hanging out with the family and getting the decos out. I adore the idea of a bare tree branch with Christmas birdies. Might have to lift this idea for my house because I'm really not wanting to put up the tree.
Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving and looking forward to what's next. Hugs.

I have also missed you!!
I understand and appreciate the purging. I feel like everything happens for a reason and the SG debacle couldn't have happened at a better time. If feels good to make stuff on my own terms.
<3 you!!
=)

Such a cute little bird display!

I think you will do well with your resolution for 2011...you're already doing really well with that now so it shouldn't be a difficult transition! Very inspiring!

Miss you! Love the bird display!
I find myself this time of a year reflecting on my life and its direction. Hope 2011 is going to be a great year!

I have missed you!! Thanks for visiting me today!! :):):):):):):):):) I always love what you create, with old goodies, new goodies... doesn't matter... you are amazing!!!! Ohhhhhhhhhh and I keep meaning to ask you... a friend at work gave me an old "day by day" calendar (hard to explain in writing...)... but each day has a different 'purse' on it, vintage, funky, classic, modern etc... and I was wondering if you wanted them? I thought maybe you could cut them out (or leave the page whole) and incorporate within your art... let me know! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
