Favorite toy - I just can't pick just one & a GIVEAWAY

Our newest challenge at http://whatisyourfavething.blogspot.com/ and this time we would love to know your favorite toy - in your childhood, now, or even your DH's or child's favorite toy. Show us your stuff!!!!! I did 2 layouts because I couldn't decide on just one toy - I always loved my tricycle and later bicycle - riding with the wind blowing in my face just spelled freedom in my mind!!!! Getting away and riding just for the sheer joy of riding! And once I was out of sight of my house, always with no hands! (Hambly paper, May arts ribbon, Prima canvas word, Cosmo Cricket journaling card, October afternoon alphas, vintage fabrics and buttons)
But then - in the winter when I couldn't go outside and ride, it was all about dolls
I did this quilted fabric wall hanging - I printed the photo on fabric and used mostly vintage (with a few Amy Butler) scraps and laces to make this. The top word is from Prima but I actually embroidered the word Dolls.
The canvas heart is by Canvas Corp - just love their products and Jenn sells them on ScrapGal - I sewed selvedges on the heart and added 2 small jewelry hearts.
I have been extra busy lately - painting, knitting, selling stuff on ebay, and just trying to get caught up in general. I am really trying to make my crafting and painting self-sustainable so I am buying very little stuff, and crafting a lot with what I have - it's amazing how much stuff I have collected over the years. I will be taking 2 watercolor classes (one is a national teacher!) this summer and am really excited about that - so I have to sell lots of stuff on ebay to pay for the classes!
Sometimes I wonder how much other people spend on scrapping supplies - or knitting supplies - or art supplies - or fabric.   How much do you spend on supplies per month - per year?  I would like to know if you subscribe to kit clubs (which ones?) or buy at LSS or Michaels or ?  Do you take classes - online or in person? Please leave me a comment letting me know whatever you feel comfortable with and I will do a drawing on Sunday morning 6/20 for a RAK - one of my aprons and some crafting goodies for whichever craft you specify - scrapping, beading, or sewing/quilting.  I would love to hear from you!
Thanks for reading and have a super week!

yay! we think alike! :) both of us LOVED our bikes! wasn't it the best?

you can leave me out of the RAK... but to answer your question... i honestly don't spend that much on stuff. i would say about 15-20 bucks a month. i'm very fortunate that i get products to design with. it feeds my addiction! hahaha. :)

happy wednesday my friend! :)

I see why you can't pick one cause I am in love with both of them, love that LO, great colors and that flower is so pretty and love the wallhanger as well, love that you printed on fabric, gorgeous!!

I try to spend about 50 euros that's about $60 a month!!! sometimes a little more or less!! And I sometimes buy a Kreatorvill Krafts kit, love those!!!
And how exciting that you are taking more paintclasses, can't wait to see what you will create there!!!

Hugs Hanneke

I love these layouts!!!
I guess it all depends what I am buying. I try to buy everything from Scrapgal...for obvious reasons. The brick and mortar stores carry stuff that is outdated and not the kind of scrap supplies that I would use. I like to buy my sewing from estate sales. I love the true vintage.

I spend way too much. It is well into the thousands of dollars a year. I also think it is important to give back. I donate a lot. I re purpose clothing and I try not to buy new fabric. SO much fabric finds its way into landfills. OMG, Chris...I just typed a book.
=)

GREAT layout and hanger, Chris!! LOVE the Hambly, it's perfect with your photo!!
I don't know exactly how much I spend on scrapbooking stuff, I think about $50 a month? Because I'm designing for a Dutch magazine and going to be a Kreator for Kreatorville Krafts Kits, it's going to be less!

Oh my... Your fave projects are just beautiful.....

In answer to your questions....{even though I would love an apron of yours please save the rak for another commentor}

I have subscribed to Jenni Bowlins paper and project kits for about 2 years $75 with the add on kit, I just started getting Studio Calicos kits $55 with an add on. Because I get kits I usually do not spend much more than that on me.... I do make a lot of purchases for the events I hold and right now it is all retail....mostly LSS but I do need to get good deals at Hobby Lobby and Michaels. I love to teach classes but I also love to take classes because everyone creates so different. we all learn from each other. I do not prefer online classes. I am a hands on girl. Love your curiosity....Big hugs,Amy

First of all, your indecisiveness = lots of scrappy inspiration for the rest of us! So, thank you! :)

As for the craft thing...maybe $25-$30 a month...scrapping and crochet. Some months I don't buy anything at all, and I've noticed over the last year my style has become much simpler (read: less buying of stuff). No kit clubs, because even though it was a pretty good deal, I found that I didn't necessarily like all the stuff. Rarely classes (it's been over a year) but if a certain Sarah we know teaches one, I'm in. :)

Two toy layouts... and both BEAUTIFUL!!! Love you on your little bike, so sweet, and the one with all the fabric and lace and embroidery, WOWZAH!!

I don't have money to spend on scrap goodies. I only buy the things I really can't do without like gel medium, plain paper, glue... furthermore,I know some very cheap stores (not particularly scrapstores...)that have nice stuff sometimes and I like to buy "weird things" on thrift markets. Getting "happy mail" or winning prizes is also nice ;) so over the years I have collected quite a lot of goodies!
